The Happy Couple

Hi Everyone

To Family member who are confused, let me explain
Before the wedding I was looking at Ideas for the wedding and stumbled on a site
which has ideas for County and Western weddings.
And they have asked to view some of the ideas I have used

So this is for you all the future brides, some Ideas you might run with

Our wedding Ideas

Our wedding Invitations where maid in Colombia and they were rolled into a Cylinder, we had 2 types.

Our Wedding Favor was designed and made out of mini Cowboy hat's
and decorated, with ribbon with the printed date and our names.
It was a magnet to, to be put on the fridge.

Me, the Bride and also the groom and the 2 male witnesses Have worn black hats that look like cowboy hats even that they are not authentic.

The Witnesses and Couples

John (the Groom) came to pick me up in an old fashion car, An Impalla from '64 if I am not mistaken. We drove down to the civil town house.




The Bridal Bouquet, is a mix of Aruba and Texas.
The Greenery is made out of local Palm trees and there are (fake) Bluebonnets (since real ones where out of season). mikes with real Roses with Pink tips (Bride's favorite Roses).
And ribbons with dress colors of the Bride's Civil Dress.
The Bouquet was presented to the Bride by the Groom, when he went to pick her up.

The Wedding Bands where tied to two medium size black & white cowboy hats.
and this was handed to the groom when he walked into the Civil Town House by the Mother of the Bride, giving her daughter away. Groom walked in with it.

To add to the party we had confetti and Bubbles to use at the Civil Town House after the civil wedding, which we made labels.

This little blue, is a piece of tradition of Aruba, it's cake, bolo preto (translation Black cake) it is wrapped and served with a glass of home made fruit punch at arrival of the guest, after they have signed and congratulated the happy couple.

Where the couple held court, this arch was purchased in the stated and was put together.
This was decorated by two family friends Mario Tromp & Mario Quant.
They used a couple of different material and put in the arch different spots Texas Bluebonnets and to match the cake very few sun flowers. Mixture of Texas and Aruba.

The Bride & Groom toasting glasses, had a tiny accident with them, my aunt (bride's aunt). They were decorated with mini cowboy hats and ribbon.

The Cake Cutter set, was also decorated with mini cowboy hats in this cakes in color of the Brides Civil Wedding Dress.

The Wedding Cake, had 2 layers of chocolate and 1 of vanilla.
The Cake toppers where picked by the Bride and groom, as a gift from the groom. The Bride collects Swaroski Crystals.
The Groom was a American Cowboy Bear named Johny (Groom name John)
and the Bride was a bear holding a Sun Flower, which are planted in Gardens in Aruba.
With a Backdrop of plastic canvas made hearts in the colors of the Aruba and Texas Flag.
The cake was covered in Sun Flowers.
And the bottom layer has painted on country fens.
