Visa Waiting Game

We were apart for 2 months and 2 weeks, when we got reunited for our church wedding.
And now, since USCIS is still not ready, we are apart once more :-(
This time it is even harder

Again Apart, John left for Houston on July 6th 2008.
Waiting for the day we are reunited, sadly we have no specific date to look forwards to.

Mailing I-130

We Mailed the package 20 April 2008, which is also the day we started the visa process
all do everything was ready to be mailed since April 14th
but due to tax day we moved it to send it a week later
Since we were afraid it gets stuck between the mass load of mail

Package delivered to USCIS in Chicago 24 April 2008 at 14:21 (4 days after mailed)
Online Confirmation, No Mail Confirmation.

On May 14th we got the packaged returned due to fee wasn't correct
even do the fee we got was given by them, by phone

We got it back
23 days after it was mailed, 20 days after Chicago received it.
It was returned on the 30 of April. 6 days after received.

So we re-due the check and mailed it again.
We mailed it again on May 16th, 2008

Happy News, Quick Arrival of I-130 in Chicago

So we needed to resend the I-130
with a redone check
and with barely 3 days after it arrives

Hoping that the process will be as fast as its arrival in Chicago
and hopefully the Mail is also speedy

The Return Receipt????? Where O Where Is The Return Receipt???

So 30 days have gone by since we re-mailed the I-130
But still box is empty
So we are getting worried
So john tried calling USCIS on several occasion on successfully

till It happened
He got through and we got a new case number
which says:

On May 24, 2008, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

So it's June 26 and still no mail. so we wonder

But we do have a break, with this information, we decided to file the I-129F

Mailing I-129F

So on June 25th 2008, John drops of at the post office
The I-129F
we are still waiting on the receipt of the I-130 mailed 24 June by USCIS

After 5 days the package arrived at USCIS in Chicago, Hoping all is well

ANOTHER 21 Days Wasted

Sad to say, since we still haven't received the receipt for the I-130, we went ahead and send the I-129-F to the Chicago lock box with the online version of the receipt.

And guess what happened yesterday (15th July 208) was in the box the return receipt that Chicago received it, and today to BAD NEWS and more Frustration. The package is returned with a rejection notice. Stating wrong address.

Well John is calling them tomorrow, need to say we are ready to step it up to go to his congressman.
Since they are technically both USCIS fault. we requested another receipt that also still hasn't arrived.

So another 21 days wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and to add to it the receipt number that came with this rejection cannot be read online it says it is wrong for some reason.

More Problems

Well Let see what happened this time
After the package of the I-129-F got rejected for the wrong address.

Next to that was also a problem that since 24 May 2008, they mailed the receipt that we need the original for the interview in Caracas. The NOA 1 or the Form I-767.
But the way to get this back is for it to be returned not delivered for some reason or what they told me was to get a copy by John going to the local CIS office for an appointment and ask a copy.

I called USCIS on 17 July, they said that john needed to go to a local office to get interview to get the new I-129F mailing address. We weren't happy

So john tried on July 18th, and he did succeed to get a mailing address, but also told that he need to go to his local CIS office to get a copy of receipt of I-130. He has to go online to Info pass on www.uscis.gov
so let's see what that appointment will take place.

Re Sending the I-129F

So on July 20th John Dropped in Drop Box the I-129-F afain
So Faster mailing better tracking.

Hoping we will Soon have a receipt back and the process goes fast too.
Today also USCIS updated their time frame for Visa Processing

Which currently stands at I-130 Vermont 3 Sept 2007
and I-129F Vermont at 18 Jan 2008

Which might be a race to see which is done first, John says
I am hoping for Aug maybe September, Hoping that is not to much wishful thinking
I hope that we will be done by the latest October
But John thinks latest can be Dec of this year.

So here we start the ticker for sending the I-129F

ALLELUYAH, I-129 Receipt

So It's August 13th, and john got in the mail: Yes the I-129f receipt, after 24 days!
Which is the petition for the Fiance Visa K-3

What does this mean, well it wasn't rejected
the receipt says:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On August 7, 2008, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) and request that we waive the filing fee. We have waived the filing fee and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Well lets see how long this takes:
